Matt Lavis brings over 7 years of hands-on experience as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, having worked across both hospital and private practice settings. A significant focus of his career has been bridging the gap between exercise science and chronic disease management, particularly for those navigating life with type 2 diabetes.
Matt also works as the Clinical Support Lead for the Beat it program at Diabetes Australia, where he channels his passion into upskilling exercise professionals around the country, because he believes that better-informed practitioners mean better care for people living with diabetes. He is committed to improving access to safe, effective physical activity for people living with diabetes.
