The AUSDRISK Tool was developed by the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute on behalf of the Australian State and Territory Governments as part of the COAG initiative to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. The AUSDRISK tool is designed for the Australian population, with risk scores calculated and validated based upon the results of the participants in the Australian Diabetes, Obesity and Lifestyle study (AusDiab). Consequently, the AUSDRISK Tool is not reliable or suitable for use in non-Australian populations.
