Empower your clients to better manage their diabetes with Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)
ADVERTORIAL
Dexcom CGM – Indicated for all types of diabetes!#
Unlike fingerprick checking, CGM measures glucose levels continually, allowing people to detect potential highs or lows throughout the day and night in real-time. With Dexcom G6 CGM, the outstanding accuracy allows people with diabetes to make management decisions with no fingerpricks*.
How does CGM work?
- Sensor and Transmitter: A slim sensor is inserted via an applicator and continuously measures glucose levels just beneath the skin, and sends data wirelessly via Bluetooth to a display device through a transmitter.
- Display Device: A compatible smart device or a small touchscreen Receiver displays real-time glucose readings.^
Who can benefit from Dexcom G6?
- Indicated for anyone over two years of age with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes
- It works whether people are using multiple daily injections (MDI) or an insulin pump
Proven outcomes with CGM
Reduced hypoglycaemia: The predictive Urgent Low Soon alert offered by Dexcom G6 is associated with reduced hypoglycaemia, without a corresponding risk in hyperglycaemia.‡,1
HbA1c reduction: As compared fingerprick testing, use of Dexcom CGM significantly reduces HbA1c irrespective of people using multiple daily injections(MDI) or an insulin pump.2-5
Increased Time in Range: People using Dexcom CGM typically spend more time in optimal glycaemic range than those using a blood glucose meter3,4
