The webinars are pre-recorded and delivered by Credentialed Diabetes Educators from Diabetes NSW & ACT. You will have convenient access to view the webinars and access recommend reading and resources online for up to 12 months.
The webinars are suitable for nurses, diabetes educators, podiatrists, pharmacists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, general practitioners and allied health professionals working in general practice, aged care, rural health, community and hospitals. They include practical tips for looking after people living with diabetes that you can implement in your own practice.
This 4 part webinar series will give you an overview of diabetes, diabetes complications and insulin treatment.

- Diabetes 101: Understand the pathophysiology of diabetes, blood glucose regulation, diabetes definitions, symptoms, treatment and management. Length: 20 minutes
- Diabetes Complications:Â Complication screening, chronic and acute complications of diabetes. Length: 20 minutes
- Insulin Treatment Part 1: How insulin works in the body, barriers to starting insulin and other practicalities. Length: 23 minutes
- Insulin Treatment Part 2: Different types of insulin including new ones that are available, insulin action and useful gadgets. Length: 14 minutes
